The performance of quadrature spatial modulation (QSM) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) system with cooperative decode and forward (DF) relays is analyzed in this paper. QSM is a new MIMO transmission technique that enhances the overall performance of conventional spatial modulation through exploiting quadrature spatial dimension. A practical scenario is considered where the channel is estimated at the relays and the destination and the impact of channel estimation error is investigated. Two cooperative systems are considered in the study. In the first system, multiple single-antenna DF relays are assumed, whereas, in the second system, single multiple-antennas DF relay is considered. For both systems, an analytical expression for the pair wise error probability (PEP) is obtained. As well, an asymptotic expression for the PEP at high and pragmatic signal to noise ratio is derived. Derived expressions are used to provide an upper bound on the average bit error ratio. The derived analysis is corroborated through Monte Carlo simulations and results demonstrate a close-match for a wide range of SNR values. 相似文献

Five underwater pipelines with various outer diameters off the south-western coast of Taiwan were investigated with an integrated surveying system which included a dual-frequency side-scan sonar, a high resolution sub-bottom profiler, and a magnetometer. The pipelines consist of one water transport pipeline (with outer diameter of 0.2 m), one crude oil transmission pipeline (1.0 m) and three industrial waste water outflow pipelines (1.5 m, 1.7 m and 1.8 m). This study was aimed at discussing the performance of the integrated surveying system in searching for, monitoring and locating underwater proud and buried pipelines. Specific items associated with this research goal include: route of the pipeline, burial depth of the pipeline, composition and structure of surficial sediments, and artificial objects on and around the pipeline. Aiming at the problem of uplink co-channel interference in multi-user multi-input multi-output (MIMO) heterogeneous network, a reversed time division duplex (R-TDD)-based method is used to improve the performance of interference rejection combining (IRC) algorithm. This method overcomes the difficulty of IRC algorithm in obtaining the interference noise covariance matrix by utilizing the R-TDD transmission scheme. On the premise that the spectrum efficiency is guaranteed, through combining R-TDD with spatial modulation, the transmission complexity is significantly reduced and the uplink co-channel interference is effectively controlled, so as to improve the system performance. A vehicle guidance system has been developed using ultrasonic sensing. The ultrasonic technology is presented in this paper with reference to how it links in with the complete system. Among the various research branches in multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) radar, Direction finding is an interesting topic and has attracted extensive concerns. However, many previous strategies are only effective to deal with scenarios without model error, such as well-calibrated sensor array, which is unrealistic in practice. This paper revisits the direction finding issue in a bistatic MIMO radar, in which the direction-dependent mutual coupling (MC) effect in both the transmitting array and the receiving array are considered. An estimator based on parallel factor (PARAFAC) decomposition is introduced. Benefit from the fact that the multidimensional structure of the tensor measurement can be explored, the proposed PARAFAC estimator can offer closed-form solution to direction finding without additional pairing calculation, so it is much more accurate and efficient than the state-of-the-art spectrum search method and the rotational invariance algorithm. A kind of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) sonar model is presented for enhancing detection of small targets in an underwater acoustic waveguide. A co-located vertical linear array is partitioned into several sub-arrays illuminating orthogonal waveforms at a target of interest. When the target is modeled as an extended target consisting of multiple scatterers, time reversal is utilized in the MIMO transmission scheme for capturing target diversity. The feasibility of time-reversal beams simultaneously esonifying the target’s scatterers is verified by the analysis of spatial–temporal focusing in simulations.
